I joined Koan Health in October 2021 because delivering a world-class analytic platform centered around accurate and transparent data, supported by a team passionate about providing exceptional service to clients, is critical to transforming healthcare in our country. Throughout my career, I've seen the impact that data-driven insights can have on providers and the financial health of their organizations. Providing insights derived from aggregated data sources (clinical, claims, SDoH, etc.) enables providers to deliver on the goal of efficiently providing high-quality, low-cost care equitably across a population or community.
Before Koan Health, I was Vice President of Sales for Optum's Managed Analytic Solutions. I provided tools and services to help risk-bearing organizations understand and manage the risk and opportunities within their attributed populations. At Panglao, formerly Boston Health Economics, I sold analytic solutions to Life Science companies using real-world data to streamline the analytic process and provide insights into economic, regulatory, and post-marketing surveillance needs to support value-based care and regulatory initiatives. These experiences underscore the critical role that credible and trustworthy data, combined with a self-service analytic platform, can have in improving outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.
I focus on growing and expanding our client base of high-performing CINs, ACOs, and payers. My values mirror the Koan culture centered on honoring our commitments and doing things correctly with honor, integrity, and respect. Together with our clients, we are excited to help transform healthcare and provide solutions that deliver value to and support the mission of our provider and payer clients, their patients, and members.
I graduated from the University of Vermont, and my wife and I live in Stowe, Vermont, on a small farm where we grow a wide variety of organic fruit trees and raise and train animals centered around equestrian and livestock herding activities. I enjoy golfing, XC skiing, traveling, and playing adult hockey.
